Ideal Protein FAQ’s
With other supplements we can not be fully confident of their quality, purity and rate of absorption. The four supplements required as part of Ideal Protein have been formulated specifically to ensure that the dieter receives the minimum daily-recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals. Ideal Protein supplements are manufactured in Quebec, Canada.
No. In the first 3 weeks of Phase 1 exercise is not recommended while your body is adjusting to your new metabolic process (using fat for energy). Cardio and intense exercise is not recommended. It may cause muscle loss. Ideal Protein has introduced Ideal Protein Fitness. It’s a series of short videos or weekly challenges dieters can do that will not cause loss of muscle mass.
You and your coach will decide to together. With Ideal Protein you lose more inches then pounds (because we target fat pounds not muscle). Often a dieter will feel better at a heavier weight then their original goal. An ideal weight is when you no longer suffer anymore psychologically or physically. Following good nutrition, not a number on a scale is what is most important. Think about how you feel and how you feel in your own clothes instead of staring down at a scale every day. “Beauty is how you feel inside and it reflects in your eyes, it’s not something physical.” Sophia Loren
This has nothing to do with the weight loss program they were on. More to do with returning to poor eating habits, skipping meals, emotional issues or alcohol intake. Weight loss is not a solution to your emotional state. Ideal Protein or any other diet is not a vaccine for obesity. With Ideal Protein you will learn to control your weight, not let your weight control you. Also learn the difference between eating for pleasure and eating for need.
Gaining the weight has nothing to do with how fast weight was lost in the past. It has more to do with lifestyle, eating habits, bad food combinations, level of physical activity and pancreatic function. Ideal Protein has a full maintenance program for each dieter to have the most success at keeping the unwanted pounds off.
No. Ketosis simply means the body is using fat as an energy source and transforming fatty acids into ‘ketonic bodies’. Therefore a degree of ketosis occurs in ANY weight loss program. This is a normal metabolic function and totally safe. An individual not on a weight loss program can be in ketosis during sleep, especially the second half of your sleep cycle.
Yes. Our protocol is safe for everyone, except those with dysfunctional liver or kidneys. Women who are pregnant or breast feeding should only use our products as a supplement for their diets. This would be the same for most other diets.
Fruits don’t make you gain weight but they can prevent you from losing weight. Once fruit is metabolized by the body it transforms into sugar or glucose. Your glucose reserve is exactly what you need to deplete in order to get our body to burn calories from your fat stores. Fruit is reintroduced after the weight loss phase.
With typical low calorie diets you will lose weight but if 20 lbs are lost, 10lbs comes from fat and 10lbs comes from water and your muscle mass. When you re-gain the weight you put the fat back on, not muscle. Your body is in worst shape after the diet then before the diet! The less muscle you have the less calories you burn per day.
No. Ideal Protein provides only the required amount of protein per day. No more, no less than needed. With Ideal Protein we reduce carbohydrates and fats, not protein. In doing so, it preserves muscle tissue and protects vital organs to secure their proper function. In other words you will lose fat, not muscle.
Ideal Protein packages have up to 20 grams of protein per portion. That’s double the amount of most of our competition. Ideal Protein is less toxic then other protein diets because you consume less saturated fats, no trans fats, no aspartame, no Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and no Genetically-Modified Organisms (GMO’s).
